Along with the green bamboos, cypresses and pines, those red, yellow and green leaves make the west mountain of Lingyin a world of vivid colors.
The golden gingko is another highlight in this season. The ten-mile gingko corridor, a valley of gingko trees, is located in Badujie in Xiaopu Town. Every December, this valley turns all golden from the top of the trees to the ground. Many of the gingko trees are more than one-hundred years old. The oldest gingko tree is believed to be more than 1,400 years old.
