Introduction
Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality Hangzhou
Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality Hangzhou has not only inherited the traditional essence of Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, but also embraced contemporary elements, reflected in the hotel design, food and beverages, and the warmest service. Here guests can enjoy the highest level of Chinese courtesy in Hangzhou, one of the eight ancient capitals in China. In the 19-storey building, the guest suites are on the second to the seventeenth floor. The floor areas of the guest rooms range from 60 square meters to 315 square meters. Most of the guest suites are of 90 square meters.
The hotel has three restaurants, The Lounge, Pinju Hangzhou, and Royal Court. The lounge is an all-day dining restaurant serving Chinese and Western Food. Pinju Hangzhou is a casual restaurant offering Hangzhou and Shanghai cuisines. Royal Court is a Chinese restaurant with exclusive private dining rooms.
Located in the core area of CBD at Qianjiang New Town of Hangzhou, alongside Qiantang River, the hotel provides the guests a great opportunity to admire the charm of this city. The landscape on the riverside is comparable to the view of the Bund at Shanghai. The light show at night is very much worth a look.
The design of the architecture is credited to ATKINS, a famous British design institute. Their works include Anara Tower and Burj Al Arab in Dubai and Namaste Tower in Bombay. The design of the architecture represents the spirit of Diaoyutai, combining the magnificence and modern style. The interior of Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality was designed by CCD. Joe Cheng, the founder of CCD, is good at presenting oriental conceptions in Western surroundings. The conception of hospitality is well conveyed to the guests through the design and decorations. The hues of red, black, bronze and the deep grey-blue portray its luxury. The decoration of book shelves and antiques in the receipt hall adds a literary touch to the hotel.
