Linan Daming Mountain
Autumn is the most charming season in the Daming Mountain area. The mountains are covered by maple and other foliage plants and in addition to the steep peaks, deep valleys, grand waterfalls and thick forests, the colorful plants dotted all over the mountains heighten our enjoyment of nature in autumn. In the high mountain area the maples peep through the white piercing clouds like flamboyant flames.

Yuyao Shilin Village
When the persimmons mature and redden like Chinese lamps it’s time for autumn in Dalan. The hairpin turns on the mountain cliffs make it an exciting journey for self-driving but be cautious as it’s very steep! Along the way stop at the view point and you will see local farmers selling persimmons, potatoes, chestnuts, eggs and home-raised chickens. You can also see Ximing Lake from these mountains and the views here are simply breath-taking.  

There are two parts to this scenic area; one is the persimmons village where visitors can taste the locally grown persimmons which are called Diaohong. Their red fruit is vibrant and both succulent and juicy to taste. The other part of the scenic area is for hiking where you can climb close to nature in the refreshing autumn breeze.

Jinhua Panan County
Panan is said to be the forefathers of mountains and the most famous view in autumn is Panan’s gingko forest. Covering more than 2,000 acres, the gingko forest here gradually turns to yellow from green in the autumn sunlight. The golden leaves, covering the land, sway with the wind and fall like flying butterflies coloring autumn with a warmish hue.

Zhuji Wuxie
Autumn in Wuxie is colorful which can be seen in the old maple trees and Chinese tallow trees flaming under the warm sun. Gingko leaves spread on the street like a soft golden carpet and surrounded by colorful forests, the temples in white and black seem to be more solemn than ever. At this time of year many couples come here to take wedding photographs.

Zhoushan
Whilst most visitors love the beach in summer time, autumn in Zhoushan is equally attractive. With a clear crisp air, blue skies and an emerald green sea, Zhoushan is truly beautiful in autumn. Rambling along the beach you can see the waves rising up and down and the fishermen working in the sea. It is also the harvest season for seafood, so why not spend a weekend at the seaside, and treat yourself to a seafood platter to the sound of the autumn waves.
