Introduction

Qingzhiwu, located between Zhejiang Yuquan Campus and Botanic Garden, covers an area of nearly 208 mu (1 mu roughly equals 666 sq m). The Lingfeng River goes through the village, and “Lingfeng Tanmei” is the best place to appreciate plum blossom.

At the entrance of the village, there is a huge stone with three Chinese letters on it –“Qingzhiwu (青芝坞),” inscribed by Liang Pingbo, a famous painter in China. Behind the stone is a symbolic landscape of Qingzhiwu –Green Willow Pool, which is hidden in the forest of bamboo and is decorated with long halls, curved bridges, breath-taking lotus ponds. The road of the village is paved with blue flagstones, giving a feeling of antiquity. Alongside the village, there is a ravine flowing from “Lingfeng Tanmei.” Qingzhiwu has 176 houses that look precise and elegant with white walls, black tiles and lush vegetation in the courtyards.

In addition, Qingzhiwu has introduced some characteristic businesses, varying from Hangzhou time-honored brands to foreign brands. It includes special restaurants, youth hostels, coffee shops, teahouses, bars. For example, Pushu Restaurant, Reyi Restaurant (it is said that the hostess is a gourmet master who has travelled around the world), Chatian Wushe (similar to the Longmen Tavern), Xinji Tea Restaurant and so on. It is such a comprehensive cultural tourist collection of accommodation, leisure and amusement.
