Putuo Mountain and Luojia Mountain Tour
Putuo Mountain and Luojia Mountain, are located at the eastern part of Zhoushan Archipelago. It is one of the Four Holy Buddhist Mountains and became a Buddhist Sanctuary with the full of mystic caves, tranquil vales, overhanging cliffs and golden beaches during Tang Dynasty. The fascinating beauty can be summed up as "fascination of the sea, the mystery of the mountains and the auspiciousness of the Buddha."
In the morning, your own transfer to Shanghai Luchaogang Dock to take a yacht to Zhoushan.
Upon arrival, start your tour with visiting Western Hill Scenic Area. Many bizarre rocks and queer cliffs can be seen everywhere. The most famous are Qingtuo Rock, Rock of Two Tortoises Listening to Preaching, Rock of Buddhist Heaven on Sea, etc. Along the line where the mountain connects with the sea, many spectacular caves are very attractive. Then, you will take a gander at Puji temple covering 11,000 square meters, which is one of the three largest in the twenty temples in Putuo. It is the main temple devoted to the Goddess of Guanyin.
Today you will take a boat around 30 minutes to reach Luojia Island. Mount Luojia lies in the Lotus Sea to the southeast of Putuo Mountain. The legend has it that it was the place where Bodhisattva Guanyin practiced Buddhism. Viewed from near the Cave of Tidal Sound on Putuo Mountain, Mount Luojia lies just like a grand Buddha with its back in the sea.
After lunch at Luojia Island, you will take a boat back to Putuo Mountain. In the afternoon you will take a visit at Huiji temple, which is standing up Foding Mountain. Here you could take a cable car around 10 minutes or climb around 30 minutes to reach the top of the mountain for praying. Upon getting down the temple, pay a visit to Fayu Temple, which sits along the mountain with different layers on it. Numerous large trees stand in the mountain, qualify the temple for a quiet and deep place. Out of the temple, you are walking on the Thousand step Jin Sha, which is the second big Zhoushan Islands sandy beaches from that area comes.
After breakfast, you will reach Nanhai Guanyin Buddha to listen to the Buddhist story and Zizhu Science Park for a visit. Then, be transferred to the dock back to Shanghai Luchaogang dock. Upon arrival, your own transfer to your place in Shanghai. End of your memorable trip in Putuo mountain.
