Introduction

Zhou Sheng Ji Dumpling is established by Zhou Jixiang in 1930s’. Zhou Ji found the qianzhang bun business of his neighbor Ding Lianfang very prosperous. He then started his own qianzhang bun business to compete with Ding. However, Zhou lost his place in the competition soon. He had to change his mind and sold dumplings.

Zhou branded his dumplings as the only traditional dumplings made of bambooshoots and fresh meat in Huzhou. The dumplings were shaped in gold ingots. The ingredients of sesames and meat were selective, and the soup made from pig and chicken bones was also original.

The dumpling helped Zhou Sheng Ji win its name in the city, and became one of the most popular cuisines in Huzhou.
