Your next stop will be a visit to Meijiawu Tea Village where you will participate in a traditional tea ceremony. Here you will see how tea is made and gain an understanding on the influence that tea has made in Chinese culture.

Satisfy your taste buds during a relaxing midday lunch at a restaurant serving local cuisine.

After lunch, you will go on to experience Hangzhou’s famous West Lake during a 40 minute cruise. “Three Pools Mirroring the Moon” stands at the center of the lake to greet you and you will also see Solitary Hill, Leifeng Pagoda and many other sights during this leisurely cruise.

After enjoying the tranquillity of the West Lake your driver will take you to Yellow Dragon Cave Dressed in Green where during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) many Hangzhounese prayed to the dragon for rain.

Next you will go to Hefang Street, once a center of commerce during the Southern Song dynasty and now a street restored to its former glory and full of street artists, candy sculptors, silk shops, caricaturists, old-fashioned movie players, storytellers, bonsai shops, teahouses, small restaurants and an alley selling really great snacks.

Finally you will visit the City God Pavilion which is built on the top of Wu Hill. It is a seven-story archaic piece of architecture adorned with cornices and has become one of the representative sights of Hangzhou.
